Habibu Idris Shuaibu

Habibu Idris Shuaibu was military aide to General Ibrahim Babangida and was appointed military governor of Plateau State on 22 August 1996 and served in that capacity till 1998.

Habibu Idris Shuaibu in 1989 wrote a thesis “Military Involvement in Politics in Nigeria: The Effect on Nigerian Army” which was unpublished while he studied at the United States Army Command and General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. This thesis showed his solidarity with General Ibrahim Babangida coup that ousted Muhammadu Buhari from poer on the point that Buhari didn’t include junior officers when distributing his positions.
